The American Fairy Tale story of the Wizard of Oz, is like the life of the Christian, who is trying to
get to the New Jerusalem. In the story, Dorothy wanted to get back home, the Tin man wanted a heart, the scarecrow wanted a brain and the lion wanted courage. So, the crew set off down a yellow brick road. Wandering and searching around looking for the Emerald City so that they could meet the Wizard and he could grant them their wish. They didn’t imagine along the way, that they would go through so many storms to get to the Wizard. Christians like us today, are longing for a place without sin, temptations, disappointments, tears and sleepless nights. Where will the road lead us to? As Christians will we be on a journey searching for godly idols behind a curtain, or for the one true God, that can provide eternal salvation and everlasting life. "The Father, of who are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him. " 1 Corinthians 8:4-6.
The Book of Revelation Chapter 21:2-4 states, The Apostle John said, “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Heaven is a Real Place; it is described as “Paradise.” It has real cities, streets of gold, many mansions, and angels. The Best of all, God is there!
