Living on My Mother's prayer

As a young girl, I often would hear my mother praying to God to protect and bless her house, children and husband. My mother would be praying while cooking and cleaning the house. Her prayers would be so intense, that my siblings and I would sit quietly with respect and fear. No matter what was going on in that room, my mother was confident that God would honor her prayers on our behalf. We were convinced as children that when mother prayed, God was in the room with her. The way my mother prayed will forever be retain in my mind.

My mother's prayer has mode me in many ways that I could ever image. As a child, I didn't understand living on my mother's prayers, until I became a mother. Sometimes we worry about our children, but if we stand on God's words: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 NKJV and even though they may stray, they will return to what was taught to them.

A Mother' praying for her children is one of the most powerful attribute a mother can have.

A Mother's Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank you for my gift, please guide my children every day.

I ask that my children and grandchildren come to know you,

May their ears hear your voice

May their eyes see your Glory

May their mouth confess

May their feet walk in the way of our Savior

I pray that their heart be your dwelling place.

I ask this in Jesus Name
