Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found Was blind but now I see Was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils and snares We have already come T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far And Grace will lead us home And Grace will lead us home Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found Was blind but now I see Was blind, but now I see
Amazing Grace: (A redemption story) is an incredibly well known folk song that I was raised up singing in church. The message in the song is that through God's great mercy, no matter how big or small our sins may be, redemption and forgiveness, are available, and that our souls can be saved from despair.
God’s grace has keep us and has done and still doing so many things in our lives. God’s grace has saved us from the awful three letter word sin. Amazing grace is God’s salvation which is done and offered through His Only begotten Son Jesus Christ. God’s grace has given us a gift that we are not worthy to receive, but by his grace and mercy.
Ephesians 2: 8-9 states: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Can you think of a time laying in bed at night with a heavy heart, tossing and turning, wondering if there might be a way to undo somethings in your present and pass life? If only for a moment, given up on life, felt ourselves and everything around us to be utterly without worth? Then when you less expect it, Grace. God’s Amazing Grace.
